Setting Center for Bounding Box/Camera

Hi,

Very new to cloud compare and sorry if this is an obvious question (I did try to research as much as I could but failed to find a solution): how can I change the center of the bounding box/camera view? Figuring out the axis center of the pointcloud and how to change it was easy but I can’t seem to figure out how to move the center to where the pointcloud is or vice versa.

Grateful for any tips.

Thanks a lot for providing this great open source tool!

Best,

Mat

Do you mean something like 'panning'? By maintaining the right mouse button pressed?

Hi,

Sorry for my delayed response: I mean how do I set the center of the camera? When I use the "change rotation center" tool, it does not adjust the center of the poincloud for the camera. The camera/viewpoint still assumes the original center of the bounding box (when I zoom into the pointcloud). I hope I make sense. Thanks for your help.

Best

You can set the center of the OpenGL camera via the 'Display > Camera settings' tool. Is it what you are looking for?
