better color interpolation?

Hi,

Time ago I saw on twitter that a new interpolationi was added to the rasterizer tool "krigging" I think it may be by cheking the roll down.

I do a lot of color correction in 3D, sometimes I can get away with the color from another entity but when there is not enough info it places some massive patches. I was wondering if that "krigging" method would do any better and if it would be possible to make it available for the 3D version instead of raster only.

Cheers.

Do you mean Kriging?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kriging

It's been around since the 60s so I'm not sure I'd call it new at this point ;-)

It's new in CC at least ;)

And sadly, this method only works in 2D (the way it's implemented in the Rasterize tool). So only this tool and the 2.5D Volume calculation tools can support it for now.

Yes I meant the Kriging. Oh, I see, thanks for the details.
