Hi and thank you for your amazing work.
I have a question I couldn’t find in the forum. If I’m mistaken, please share the link with me.
I try to extract perpendicular cross sections along a predefined coastline, polyline (shapefile). Is there an automatic way to do that? And how can I import the shapefile and export the cross sections vertical to it?
Thank you.

Re: perpendicular Cross sections
So I believe this could work:
- load your SHP file
- use the 'Extract sections' tool (see https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... t_Sections)
- load your polyline as the main polyline (path) (see https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... ine_import)
- then you can generate the orthogonal sections and extract the points along these
